Vice President, Treasurer
Location: Austin, TX (must reside in Austin)
A high-growth, startup data center company is seeking a Vice President, Treasurer to build and lead the treasury function during a critical phase of expansion. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in an environment where no two days look the same and infrastructure, capital, and execution intersect.
This individual will play a key role in shaping capital strategy, supporting large-scale infrastructure development, and partnering closely with executive leadership on financing initiatives tied to power and data center growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all treasury functions, including liquidity management, capital structure, and banking relationships
- Drive capital markets strategy, including debt issuance, refinancing, and investor engagement
- Oversee and execute project finance initiatives tied to data center and power infrastructure development
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to structure and fund complex projects
- Manage cash forecasting, risk management, and financial controls in a high-growth environment
- Support strategic decision-making with a strong understanding of financing options tied to energy and infrastructure assets
- Build scalable treasury processes and infrastructure from the ground up
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Treasurer within a corporate environment (not purely banking)
- Deep capital markets experience, including direct involvement in debt and financing transactions
- Proven project finance experience, ideally within infrastructure, energy, or related sectors
- Background in power generation, utilities, or energy strongly preferred (data center experience is a plus, but power exposure is critical)
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Strong executive presence with the ability to interface with lenders, investors, and senior leadership
