Our client, a Houston based law firm that’s ranked in Chambers and Partners Research of World’s Leading Lawyers and one of Houston's top real estate firms, is searching for a Real Estate Associate with at least 4 years of experience.
Ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant experience. All areas of their real estate practice are booming, and they need at least one more person to handle the deal flow that we have regularly coming in.
The real estate group handles the following types of matters:
- Large-scale transactions of land sale and purchase, financing, entity creation
- Structuring land ownership agreements, contractor negotiations, infrastructure development and issue management
- Mixed-use developments involving multiple parties and land types
- Public-private partnerships, expediting capital projects and reducing capital costs in complex and detailed real estate structures
- Tax deferred condemnation transactions
- Like kind exchanges including multiple forward and reverse deferred exchanges of real estate and oil and gas interests
- Timing of tax recognition for MUD reimbursement costs
- Landlord/Tenant Disputes
- Design & Construction Defects
- Boundary Disputes
The associate will work with all of the shareholders and work is rotated evenly! There's enough work that portable business is not necessary! Their billables are 1980 (versus 2300-3000 hours that some firms require)! They’re offering a very competitive base plus strong bonus potential and a hybrid work schedule.
