Professional Development Manager | Dallas, TX
Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking a Professional Development Manager to join its Dallas office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship-focused professional who is passionate about attorney development, learning, mentoring, and career growth.
In this leadership role, you will partner with attorneys and firm leadership to develop and implement training and professional development initiatives that enhance lawyer engagement, performance, and client service. You will also supervise a Professional Development Specialist and collaborate with colleagues across the firm's Learning & Development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver attorney training and professional development programs.
- Support attorney orientation, lateral integration, and summer associate training.
- Design new learning initiatives and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Oversee Texas CLE compliance and assist with attorney compliance tracking.
- Counsel attorneys on career development and support firm mentoring programs.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the Professional Development Specialist.
- Partner with attorneys and firm leadership to identify and address professional development needs.
Qualifications
Required
- J.D.
- 5+ years of experience in professional development, learning & development, legal practice, or a related field.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple offices with occasional travel.
Preferred
- Texas practice experience.
- Experience with adult learning, CLE compliance, or attorney training.
- Experience working in a national or international law firm.
