Litigation paralegal – downtown – Schedule: 5 days a week in the office
Duvera’s client, a commercial litigation/trial law firm where we have made many successful placements, is seeking a Paralegal with 2–5 years of commercial litigation experience to support its defense docket. The firm will consider candidates with either defense or plaintiff-side experience.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of attorneys on case management, filings, deadlines, trial preparation, and trial technology
- Serve as a key support at trial, acting as the attorney’s right hand
- Research, gather, analyze, and compile information and documents for litigation matters and discovery
- Prepare summaries of factual findings, legal research, and chronologies
- Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Communicate with court personnel, state and federal agencies, and other parties regarding proceedings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal
- College degree or comparable experience required; paralegal certificate preferred
- Ability to meet the firm’s billable hours requirement
