This role is responsible for managing the Houston office's legal recruiting function, with a primary focus on on-campus recruiting (OCI) and the Summer Associate Program. You'll collaborate closely with firm leadership, Hiring Partners, and recruiting teams across multiple offices while leading recruiting strategy for one of the firm's most important talent pipelines.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all aspects of the Houston office's legal recruiting program.
  • Manage the annual Summer Associate Program from planning through completion, including orientation, mentoring, evaluations, programming, and events.
  • Coordinate on-campus recruiting (OCI), callback interviews, offer processes, and candidate communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools, career services professionals, student organizations, and the local legal community.
  • Partner with Hiring Partners and the Recruiting Committee on recruiting strategy, hiring decisions, and candidate selection.
  • Supervise and mentor one Legal Recruiting Coordinator.
  • Manage the recruiting budget, reporting, and department operations.
  • Coordinate recruiting events, networking receptions, and summer program activities.
  • Collaborate with the firm's national recruiting team to ensure consistency across offices.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of legal recruiting experience within a law firm.
  • Experience managing on-campus recruiting (OCI) and Summer Associate Programs is strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred, although senior-level coordinators or specialists from comparable law firms may also be considered.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Professional, confident, and outgoing personality with the ability to connect with law students, attorneys, and firm leadership.
  • Knowledge of the Houston legal market and local law school recruiting landscape is highly valued.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Lead the Houston office's legal recruiting efforts for a globally recognized law firm.
  • High visibility with Hiring Partners and firm leadership.
  • Opportunity to oversee an established Summer Associate Program of approximately 13–16 Summer Associates each year.
  • Collaborative culture with close partnership between the Houston and Dallas recruiting teams.
  • Excellent brand recognition and long-term career growth within an international organization.

Work Schedule & Travel

This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, with additional in-office presence during onboarding and throughout the 10-week Summer Associate Program (May–July).

Standard office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., though some evening events and occasional weekend activities are required during recruiting season. Limited travel may be required for on-campus recruiting events throughout the year.

If you're passionate about developing future legal talent and thrive in a collaborative, relationship-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you.
