Duvera's client, a major midstream company that's focused on transporting and storing natural gas and natural gas liquids is looking for Legal Counsel to focus on FERC with at least 4 years of FERC experience. They are seeking someone who has pipeline specific knowledge with natural gas regulatory experience specifically.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant working knowledge of FERC policy on tariffs, certificates, and rates.
- Experience prosecuting a Section 4 rate case, including customer negotiations and settlements.
- Significant working knowledge of FERCs certificate rules and regulations.
- Experience developing, drafting, and reviewing NGA Section 7 certificate applications, including rate design components
- Experience developing new services on regulated Interstate pipelines, including drafting, customer negotiations, and responses.
- Experience with FERC enforcement proceedings brought against Interstate pipelines.
- Significant working knowledge on pipeline project development, including negotiating Precedent Agreements, open seasons, bid award, and tariff optionality.
- Juris Doctor actively licensed and in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant working knowledge on FERCs marketing affiliate rules
- Familiarity with FERC Resource Reports utilized to develop an environmental analysis in certificate proceedings.
- Familiarity with tracker filings particularly fuel, electric power, and modernization.
- Exposure to environmental compliance issues.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance matters.
