Duvera's client, a growing mid-sized Texas-based law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant with transactional experience in corporate or real estate law to join their dynamic team of attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney timekeeping, expense reimbursements, and billing software
- Work with document management systems, Interwoven (iManage)
- Assist with drafting, redlining, proofreading, and editing corporate and real estate transactional documents
- Support attorneys with transaction and closing processes, including preparing and organizing closing binders
- Conduct research on real estate records and manage conflict checks, check requests, and engagement letters
- File legal documents both electronically and on paper
Required Skills & Software Proficiency:
- Microsoft Word: Advanced skills in redlining, merging, and comparing documents
- Microsoft Outlook: Expert in managing emails and group calendaring
- Microsoft Excel: Intermediate proficiency
- Adobe Acrobat: Expertise in organizing indexed documents, converting formats, editing/searching PDFs, combining and splitting PDFs, and managing PDF signature pages
- Interwoven (iManage): Strong skills in document management (searching, saving, retrieving, etc.)
- Coyote: Experience is a plus
