Growing boutique litigation law firm located in downtown Houston is seeking a File Clerk/Receptionist to join their team.
Duties:

  • Organize, maintain, and update physical and electronic legal files, ensuring they are accurate and accessible.
  • Retrieve and deliver files as requested by attorneys and staff.
  • Prepare and process legal documents for filing and distribution.
  • Scan, photocopy, and archive documents to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Monitor and adhere to document retention policies and confidentiality protocols.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, correspondence.
  • Support attorneys and paralegals with ad hoc projects as needed.

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greet and assist clients, vendors, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer, screen, and route phone calls, taking messages when necessary.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services.
  • Handle general inquiries and provide information about the firm's services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or related coursework is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a legal or administrative setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with legal software is a plus.
