Human Resources Generalist – Full Time, Onsite

Boutique Law Firm | Central Houston

 

Our client, a boutique law firm in central Houston, is seeking a full-time, on-site HR Generalist to support firm-wide HR initiatives and work closely with an exceptional boss known for their personality, humor, and supportive leadership. Flexible schedule (complete an 8-hour day).

 

About the Role

You’ll oversee full-cycle HR operations across payroll/HRIS, benefits administration, onboarding, and employee engagement. This position partners with employees in every U.S. office and plays a key role in shaping firm culture and supporting day-to-day HR needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll for approx. 170 employees (salary + bonus).
  • Support benefits administration and annual open enrollment.
  • Maintain confidential and compliant personnel files.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, E-Verify, and training schedules.
  • Assist with evaluations, HR reporting, and monthly celebration activities.
  • Partner with Accounting on payroll and benefits reporting.
  • Contribute to office events, employee engagement, and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Handle special projects and general HR support as needed.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in HR or related field + 3–5 years HR experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong payroll and benefits administration background (150+ employees).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Service-oriented, proactive, positive, and able to work independently.
  • Mail merge experience required; Canva experience a plus.
