Financial Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst In Austin to support our client, a rapidly growing digital infrastructure organization that develops, operates, and manages mission-critical data center facilities. This role will support a business responsible for providing secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that enables cloud computing, enterprise technology operations, artificial intelligence workloads, and digital transformation initiatives.
The Financial Analyst will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Development, Construction, Sales, and Executive Leadership teams to provide financial insights, forecasting, reporting, and investment analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills, experience working with large data sets, and the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.


Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances to budget and forecast.
  • Prepare management reporting packages, dashboards, and key performance indicator (KPI) analyses.
  • Assist with executive presentations and financial reporting for leadership teams.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with Operations, Development, Construction, Sales, and Facilities teams to support business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis related to customer deployments, capacity utilization, infrastructure investments, and expansion opportunities.
  • Support pricing, profitability, and revenue analyses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies through data analysis.

Capital Investment & Project Analysis

  • Evaluate capital expenditure projects, facility expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Build investment models and perform return analyses, including NPV, IRR, ROI, and payback calculations.
  • Track project spending against approved budgets and forecasts.
  • Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Consolidate and analyze operational and financial data from multiple systems and sources.
  • Develop reporting tools and dashboards to enhance visibility into business performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial reporting processes.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
  • Automate recurring analyses and reports using Excel, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Support ERP, planning system, and reporting enhancements.

Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or progress toward a professional certification is a plus.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, accounting, or investment analysis.
  • Experience supporting capital-intensive industries is preferred.
  • Experience within digital infrastructure, data centers, technology, telecommunications, real estate, construction, energy, or related industries is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, budgeting tools, and financial planning software.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization experience preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and investment analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting infrastructure projects, energy or commercial real estate assets.
  • Understanding of capacity planning, utility consumption, infrastructure costs, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Experience evaluating large capital investment projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud, colocation, AI infrastructure, or other digital infrastructure business models.
