Local full service firm law firm located in central Houston is adding a bilingual (Spanish) plaintiff attorney to their team. 

Matters include commercial disputes, mass torts litigation, and personal injury litigation. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Associate you will assist more Senior Associates and Partners in managing cases. This position’s primary focus is personal 
injury.

•  Maintain client relationships throughout the legal process
•  Develop strategies in complex disputes
•  Interpret and summarize legal documents
•  Negotiate with outside parties on legal disputes and contractual issues
•  Appear in a court of law, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm’s client
•  Utilize knowledge of civil law principles and their application
•  Understand research methods, rules of evidence and conduct of court proceedings
•  Effectively deliver legal information in a workshop setting, hearing, or courtroom
•  Plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
•  Interpret, understand, and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations
•  Write correspondence in a professional manner
•  Maintain confidential and sensitive information
•  Prepare, present and conduct cases of law, equity and appeals thereof effectively
•  Present statements of fact, law, and argument clearly and logically in written and oral form

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•  Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school
•  Current Texas state bar admission
•  3 -5 years of experience
•  Bilingual. Must be fluent in Spanish.
•  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
•  Collaborative, self-motivated, and highly professional
•  5%-10% travel required

•  Has technical skills where new programs can be quickly learned
