As the firm continues to expand, they're seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join our team. While construction law experience is a plus, it is not required. They're willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and build a long-term career with our firm.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Manage case files and develop litigation strategy
- Work directly with clients and build strong professional relationships
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters
- Participate in business development and networking opportunities
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the State Bar
- 2-5 years of litigation experience
- Construction litigation experience is preferred but not required
- Insurance defense experience is highly transferable and strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with the team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Billable Expectations
- Annual billable hour requirement: 1,800 hours
- Additional compensation available through performance-based bonuses
