Administrative Law Attorney

Duvera's client, a growing Texas law practice is seeking an experienced Administrative Law Attorney with a strong background in healthcare and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of administrative law experience, including representing clients before state and federal agencies and handling complex healthcare‑related proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
•     Represent clients in administrative hearings and enforcement actions before agencies such as the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nursing, and Texas Department of Insurance
•     Defend providers in recoupment actions initiated by Novitas, Qlarant, and CMS
•     Provide strategic guidance on healthcare regulations, compliance, and administrative procedures

Qualifications
•     Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
•     Licensed to practice in Texas
•     Minimum 5 years of administrative law experience, preferably in healthcare
•     Prior DOJ experience highly desirable
•     Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems
•     Experience with audits, investigations, and compliance matters
•     Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
•     Ability to manage a demanding workload in a fast‑paced environment
