Accounts Receivable Specialist – AUSTIN
Our client, a rapidly growing high-tech company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team in Austin. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day A/R activities, including customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliations, collections, and assisting with month-end close. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced with NetSuite.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and timely
- Apply and reconcile customer payments, including ACH and wire transactions
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and follow up on past-due balances
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Maintain accurate customer account information and supporting documentation
- Perform A/R account reconciliations and assist with aging analysis
- Work with internal teams to resolve invoicing and collection matters
- Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting related to accounts receivable
- Record and maintain A/R transactions within NetSuite
- Support accounting activities across multiple entities as the organization continues to grow
- Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, collections, or related accounting experience
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Experience with cash application and account reconciliations
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively with accounting, finance, and other internal teams
