Marketing & Business Development Coordinator – ONSITE
Mid-Sized National Intellectual Property Firm
A mid-sized, nationally recognized intellectual property law firm with eight offices across the United States is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to support and elevate the firm’s business development, public relations, and client service initiatives. This role is central to expanding and strengthening the firm’s client base and works closely with partners, the Management Committee, and the Director of Administration.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Development

Partner with firm leadership to plan and execute firm-wide marketing and BD initiatives.

Support the Managing Partner, Practice Managing Partners, and Management Committee in developing strategic marketing plans.

Assist attorneys with RFPs, proposals, and client pitch materials.

Develop and maintain practice-specific marketing collateral that reflects firm strengths and experience.

Conduct market research and analysis to support practice groups and individual attorneys.

Monitor industry and market trends to identify new opportunities and emerging segments.

Create graphics and promotional materials to support marketing and BD initiatives.

Develop and implement social media strategies.
Public Relations & Communications

Coordinate rankings, recognitions, and award submissions.

Draft and edit public-facing content, including thought-leadership articles, news announcements, attorney bios, and ads.

Support and manage PR efforts and external messaging.
Client Service & Events

Plan and manage client-facing events, sponsorships, and conferences.

Coordinate holiday card and gift programs.

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners.
Branding, Website & Digital

Manage website content, updates, and SEO.

Ensure consistency with firm branding standards.

Collaborate with Recruiting on branded materials and firm swag.
Administrative & Budget Management

Serve as the primary contact for all Marketing and BD matters.

Maintain the Marketing/BD budget.

Participate in administrative and cross-departmental meetings.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2–5 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, Recruiting, or related fields.

1–3 years of experience in the legal industry required.

Background or familiarity with intellectual property law or technical fields strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, WordPress, and major social media platforms preferred.
