HR Manager – Boutique Commercial Litigation Law Firm (Downtown Houston)

A nationally recognized commercial litigation firm is seeking an HR Manager to oversee HR operations and serve as a trusted resource for payroll, benefits, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the HR team + Houston receptionist

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for non-attorney staff

  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and leave programs

  • Handle employee relations, training, compliance, and engagement initiatives

  • Partner with HR leadership on strategic projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5–7 years HR/professional services experience (law firm preferred)

  • 3+ years in HR management

  • HRIS/payroll systems knowledge (UKG a plus)

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
