A boutique intellectual property law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Patent Coordinator II (PCII) to join a growing team. The PCII will play a critical role in supporting U.S. patent preparation and prosecution efforts, working closely with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file U.S. patent applications and prosecution documents under the direction of attorneys.

Draft and manage formal documents such as Declarations and Assignments; coordinate inventor signatures and filings.

Draft Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) using references from clients, foreign associates, or internal teams.

Monitor and maintain docket deadlines; ensure timely responses and filings.

Docket completed actions and generate IP docket reports.

Perform New Business Intake (NBI) for new matters and maintain accurate matter records.

Review and process Filing Receipts and other correspondence from the USPTO; file corrections when necessary.

Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and foreign counsel on procedural and administrative matters.

Assist with patent and family searches, and provide general research support.

Support billing processes by entering time in Elite and achieving billable targets (if applicable).
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution support, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal environment.

Strong understanding of U.S. patent prosecution procedures and USPTO systems.

Familiarity with foreign filing processes (PCT, national phase), legalization requirements, and international formalities.

Proficient in IP docketing systems (e.g., IPManager) and research tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
